KAYO, KYC, & CKCC host the Second Annual Kurdish Youth Festival in Dallas, Texas - Dallas, Texas - 7-9 Jan 11
  The Kurdish Youth Festival (KYF) was organized by the independent organizations, the 501(c)(3) Kurdish American Youth Organization (KAYO), the Kurdish Youth Club (KYC), and the California Kurdish Community Center (CKCC).

  The Kurdish American Youth Organization (KAYO) has reached the end of it's second official year following the ratification of our constitution. Therefore, we are required to hold our 2-year elections for the Board of Directors. Voting begins November 16th, 2007 and results will be announced at KAYO's second annual conference in Dallas, Texas.

Summary of the First Official KAYO Conference for Kurdish Youth in North America - Nashville, Tennessee - 14 Feb 07
  The Kurdish American Youth Organization held its first official conference on Saturday, February 10th, 2007 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee. The theme of the gathering was the first official conference for all the Kurdish youth across North America.

  The conference will be the first of it's kind for the Kurdish communities in North America. Many different speakers will be invited to the event addressing a number of topics and sharing their views. The conference will take place on February 10th at 9:00am to 5:00pm at Vanderbilt University. The conference will be followed by a Kurdish celebration at 7:00pm Tennessee State University with famous singer, Dler.
KAYO & Kurt-KAV help Kurdish flood victims - NetKurd Report - 20 Jan 07
  Last month, a flood relief project was initiated by the Kurdish American Youth Organization (KAYO) in coordination with the Kurdish Cultural Search Foundation (Kurt-KAV) in Istanbul to help the Kurdish victims of the floods that hit the city of Amed (Diyarbakir) in November of 2006.

  The Kurdish American Youth Organization conducted a six-month research study consisting of interviews with individuals and discussions with professionals in the field of psychology on a social problem existing among Kurdish communities in the United States.

  On Friday April 7th, Kurdish American Youth members participated in a second University's International Day for Culture. Tennessee State University hosted the event in which many of the different nations around the world represented their cultures and Kurdistan was again among them.
KAYO at the International Cultural Day - University of Dallas at Texas - Dallas, Texas - 21 Mar 06
  On Tuesday March 21st, celebrating the Newroz holiday, the Kurdish American Youth held its first official event in Dallas, Texas. The University of Texas at Dallas hosted an International Cultural Day event in which many of the different nations around the world represented their cultures and Kurdistan was among them.
KAYO members represented at KNC's 18th Annual Conference - Gaithersburg, Maryland (Washington DC) - 17-20 Mar 06
  March 17th, 18th & 19th, 2006. The theme - Kurdish Quest for Independence and the Prospects for Statehood - Conference speakers will include dignitaries from Kurdistan, activists and academics & intellectuals from Europe, the United States and Kurdistan. Kurdistan Independence Conference in Kurdistan - Hewler & Silemani, Kurdistan - 10 & 13 Nov 05
  Concurrent with the Iraqi National Elections, 98% of the population living in Southern Kurdistan voted to form an independent state. The KNC will hold a two-day Independence Conference in Southern Kurdistan. Speakers will include dignitaries, representatives of the Referendum Movement, foreign and local intellectuals, political and community leaders and other academics.
KAYO members represented at KNC's 17th Annual Conference - Nashville, Tennessee - 25 & 26 Mar 05
  The theme - Kurdish Independence, Democracy and Regional Stability - reflects the focus on democratic change in the Middle East and its affect throughout Kurdistan. All are encouraged to attend. Conference speakers will include dignitaries from Kurdistan, Kurdish political representatives and academics & intellectuals from Europe, the US, and Kurdistan.

Kurdish American Youth Film Festival - College of San Mateo - San Mateo, California - Sept-Oct 04
  In affiliation with the Kurdish Club of CSM, Kurdish films are hosted at the College of San Mateo. Films include Jiyan, Journey of Hope and Song for Beko.
