The Structure of your KAYO Chapter...

Once you have gone through steps 1 and 2 you want to start giving some structure to your local chapter. Have your first official meeting. It does not necessarily have to be an activity meeting as it will focus a lot on logistics and structure. Not all members might want to join in on this meeting as they might get bored going over the documents and you don’t want to necessarily rush through these important decisions. Consider just having your core member, but again this is your decision.

You will need to: 1) Adopt goals/by-laws for the year (These can be varied as long as the are in-line with KAYO’s By-Laws) 2) Vote for Chapter President, Vice-president and Treasurer. The executive committee of the local chapter may decide to create other posts deemed necessary for the local chapter (such as secretary or events coordinator), but these three positions are required.
